Annual Day of Public Witness for Children Killed by Abortion
Hamilton, Sept. 28, 2023 -- On Sunday, October 1, thousands of pro-life advocates from every province and one territory in Canada will gather along major streets and intersections to silently pray for one hour to end the killing of preborn children in their mothers’ wombs.
They will hold signs with messages such as “Abortion Kills Children,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” and “Adoption: A Loving Option.”
"Because of the witness ordinary pro-lifers across the country bear through Life Chain, 300 communities will be confronted with the truth that abortion kills children,” said event organizer Josie Luetke, Campaign Life Coalition’s Director of Education & Advocacy.
Life Chain is an annual event for the whole family and provides a great opportunity for pro-life advocates across the country to engage in local outreach. Potentially life-saving seeds are planted in the hearts of the men and women who read the signs as they drive by.
“We know that the pursuit of justice is never easy, and rarely swift, but our presence and prayers ensure that fewer Canadians are left ignorant or indifferent. We choose to publicly stand for the side of life, and call on others to join us,” Luetke added.
